I’m going to let you know right off the bat that this quick review is spoiler free, so don’t worry.
The show Blood of Zeus recently premiered on Netflix on October 27th. Perfect time for a nice watch before the holiday weekend for those that celebrate Halloween. What can I say? It was fantastic. The animation and storytelling was good, the character designs were some of the best I’ve seen in anything recently. The only real issue I had was the pacing at the beginning but other than that I think the story structure they laid out flowed rather well. The settings, especially Mount Olympus, were gorgeous. Just some amazing scenery and great world building. The music? *Chefs kiss*
Plain and simple, if you already like the concept of Greek mythology, then do yourself a favor and watch this. You won’t regret it. It’s a perfect blend of Greek lore mixed with an original story that fits well into the world Powerhouse Animation has created. Props to them.
