After experiencing quite a tumultuous year, it’s a breath of fresh air to wind down with a nice family holiday film. I was a big fan of the first Christmas Chronicles, and was looking forward to the second outing. It didn’t disappoint. It was just as joyous and fun as the first one, and I would say even more so.
Kurt Russell gives it his all with his modernized Santa portrayal, and Goldie Hawn as Mrs. Claus is the icing on the cake. They’re a great duo, and the addition to the cast for this film was pleasant all around. Although the movie is a bit predictable, this is easily overlooked since the film itself is such a delight. If you’re looking for a fun family film, then this is a sure bet. Also, the elves are so darn cute.
