With only a week away from the long awaited return of HBO Max’s “Peacemaker”, NYC hit off the celebrations early with a black carpet premiere. The cast, including John Cena, Jennifer Holland and even James Gunn himself showed up looking absolutely stunning (even with Cena arriving in the Peacemaker suit. He truly has become one with it). With everyone serving looks, it was also time to serve something else: the first episode of season two.
The lucky fans who were able to grab tickets to the premiere were also given a special showing of the first episode. While I wasn’t there in person myself (and believe me, I would’ve if I could’ve), two friends of mine managed to nab a seat and share their experience.

Fans also showed up in various cosplays ranging from Peacemaker to Vigilante and even a gorgeous Eagly to show their excitement and passion for the show.
While we do still have a week left until the worldwide premiere, the three year wait goes to show that the hype never died and the loyal fans were willing to wait as long as it takes for it to return to our screens.
Peacemaker season two premieres August 21 on HBO Max.
